Reigning FFA Cup winners Sydney FC have signed 28 year-old Dutch centre-back Jop van der Linden on a one year deal.
The Dutchman previously played for the likes of Alkmaar, Vitesse, and Willem II in the Eredivisie, scoring 20 goals in 203 career appearances. He seemingly is the replacement for Jordy Buijs, and will likely partner Alex Wilkinson at the back for the upcoming season.
Next week, Sydney play Rockdale City in the FFA Cup. It is unknown whether the 28 year-old will be available.
